  • won't start with intake elbow removed

I wanted to try out the seafoam cleaner directly into the TB.
my car will not stay running when i take off the intake elbow. I have had it running without the intake elbow on before.,..... .

is there any tricks to it?

Did you disconnect the MAF sensor from the harness, since its not being used when the elbow is removed?

Never tried Seafoam. If its a "top oil" type treatment, it can be useful in removing built-up carbon in the combustion chambers. Be careful when you use it. I've seen too many posts on other forums from people who ended up with more problems than they started with. Might be a good idea to pull the O2 sensors out.
