It's time to own up. GM has abandoned us. We are not an important market to them. It hurts to say this but if you can't afford a vette, the Mustang is all thats left. We need to unite and target a specific point in GM and attack it with emails and etc. Any suggestions?

Yeah we need to ask them to produce a reasonably priced sports car. I personally thing something that would shut the mouth of all those ricers would be nice. I'm looking for a nasty 8 in a all wheel drive car. I know thats quite a break from traditional muscle car mentalaty, but just imagine what it would be like. Something like a bigger fiero keeping with the midset engine, like a 350 with about 385hp, six speed, and perhaps a modification on the existing all wheel drive used on their trucks and suv's to put the push to the pavement. Priced around $30,000. I'd probably kill myself driving such a thing, but I would certianly die smilling.
SOLD: 91 Firebird, 350 .030 over, flat top pistons, done up 305 (14022801) heads, performer rpm airgap intake, 292/292 .501/.501 cam, holley 4150 (800cfm) carb, Th400 trans, Gm 10 bolt posi rear end. Currently running 14.6 at 93 mph. Now driving a 04 Mitsu Lancer, slower but at 1.87 per gallon for gas; much cheaper to run

its not my style either.. but i wouldnt lable it "discusting" at all. the guy did a super job of design engineering along with the specs. thats not an easy job...gm folks get the big bucks for that kind of stuff too....

I dont mean that its ugly, i under stand times have changed but still why would they deviate away from the sleek look of the camaro with all the curves and wide body to now what looks like a rectangle on wheels.... if they made the car look like its going 400 KM/h standing still is what they should shoot for... thats my oppinion. Im loven the way my 1998 looks over the new one.

actually..that car looks sleek..and fast...it has heavy lines in the wheel wells too..... it looks like a cross between a c5 and z350 x.

the trouble is.....its looks like a roadster...not a muscle car.

I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but......

I think the terms 'reasonably priced" and "sports car", at least in terms of what f-body folks would probably define them, are probably mutally exclusive and an oxymoron.

What we as f-body drivers would want in a new 'f-body', given todays costs and profit needs of the corporations, will never be reasonably priced. Just think about how many folks here have complained about the new GTO. I personally like it, but no matter what, the planned price is indicative of where things are going no matter how we feel.

I plan to keep my ragtop forever. I earn a good salary, but I just can't fathom $500 a month car payments for 5-6 years any more. If I really get teh itch for something different, I'll spend $15,000 to $20,000 for a well-kept muscle car of the past.

looks like a chrysler crossfire to me. No offense but if they bring that out against Ford's new 2005 Mustang GM will have their butt handed to them in sales. Go retro or go home. noone wants a sleek shoe box leave that for the import guys they have that market cornered and I hope they keep it. hahaha

I think a nice blend from our 94 through 2002 models and the 67-69 models would be a great assett. heck how about a 70 1/2 shark nose camaro with a smaller front grill and a swooping hood?!

Sign me up for one of those. Make a 69 firebird 2002 firebird mix and put the big old trans am bird form 78 on it. with the hood having the dual snorkel nose and a mean 455 motor 7 speed!!

okay, must calm down I am gettign too excited.

someone wake up GM soon before they end up taking a dirt nap. Do not let Ford start making your profit. Helk do not let them even make a profitt like the last few years. LOL

(probably off base here but I needed to rant...)
