  • Tranny Mount?

I removed my shifter to take a look at the possible cause of the jingling sound i am experiencing. with the shifter off, i started the car and studied the sound and tried to locate its origin. i found that if i accelerate smoothly (in any gear inc. neutral), there is no sound, however when i fether it quickly, the sound is present. could this mean that i need a new tranny mount? it is the stock mount to my knowledge

Never heard of one making a jingling sound. It's usually a loud clunk that you can feel in the floorboard as the top of the tranny hits the undercarriage.
