  • car dies idle after it warms up

89 IROC 5.0L TPI 5sp, 125K miles. after it warms up to oper temp, it will die at a stoplight, starts right back up everytime. Runs great at all rpms. Idle goes up and down when hot idling in traffic. Its when it goes down sometimes it dies. Fuel filter is brand new. seems to be more prevalent after temp exceeds 200F

Sounds as though it may be Smog related, perhaps an EGR, or vac hose.

I'm getting code 36 on the OBD....MAF sensor burn-off circuit. Does this mean I need a new MAF relay. Where is it located?
