  • 4 Bolt Mains??

I'm working with an engine builder, to put together a 383 stroker. We're looking somewhere above 450hp. Question: If we use my block-shouldn't we switch this over to 4 bolt mains? He seems reluctant to do that-says he doesn't feel it's necessary. In every other way he's been happy to use whatever parts I want. What do you think?

    Thanks guys!

If done right 2 bolts are good for 700 hp. Someone may want to chime in on this.

You shouldn't have any problems with 2-bolt mains a that HP level. Upgrade to ARP studs and billet caps.
