  • 3rd gen motor mounts

Does anyone know the reason for the shorter left side motor mount clamshells on third gen. cars, and will the engine still fit n right with a normal sbc clamshell? The part is discontinued by GM and I'm having a hard time finding one, but can get a regular one fairly easily.

i've never seen a difference between the 2 sides on my car.

thirdgen.org is the place for a question like that.
