I just bought my first firebird It is a 94' and 130kilometers on it. It's a V6 too, glass is brand new, besides that stock but super super clean like holy crap its clean. Looks almost new almost. Anyway I got it for only 5000 canadian dollars. Not bad I think, my mechanic said I even got a good deal so ya. I just tuned it up and changed the oil hmmm... what else should I do?
I just bought new spark plugs platnum 4 by bosch
    I use 94 octane haha
I was thinking of putting flowmaster to the beast...
What things can I do to it??? I don't know where to start...

Damn... My lights and my hood and my front body piece look exactly like so...

    -------------------....

But I reall really want it to look like this one, how do i do it? I mean arn't they using the same chassis but different body pieces??? Where do I buy them?????
I want it to look like that, is it possible?

Yep, it's possible. You'll need both fenders, hood, bumper, and all light assemblies. I'm thinking you will have to do a little bit of wiring too.

using 94 ocatane in that car is like pouring money down the drain. it does not good whatsoever. total waste of your money. nothing gained at all.

hahaha I dont like it I love it. My favorite part are the lights how they flip up... I am a proud owner of this car, I used to own a import 300ZXTT but this car is what a sports car should be or no, except the corvette.

oh i see... sounds expensive... I was thinking of going to salvage yard and pick out those body parts... and then when I get them I will use my metal bending skills and pound my way and finish them...

The problem here is that I think not all of the parts are metal I mean I already know that my door is not metal (I don't know what material that is...Carbon Fiber???) I know the rear fenders are metal...

So if it comes to that I will go to pontiac dealer and tell them what I want and they will order them... but sounds expensive. Even though I want the best for my bird I want save my cash...Can any of you guys help me come up with ideas to make my car look like that white one??? Like is there any tutorials on the net that take me step by step through this modification? Like is there a site where i can buy these parts? Where would you buy these parts at????

Mr.Wolf thanks so much, if you hadn't told me then I would of wasted alot of money... Thanks.

          My future modifications will include
-new air filter(K&N possibly, if you know any others please tell)

PS. I have to get this car fast, Im upagainst my brothers 85' corvette ahhahahaha

I really don't want to come off sounding mean... but that 300ZXTT should be worlds faster than the car you just bought.

These posts make me think this guy might be trying to be a funny guy... and up against an 85 Corvette? ....

If this is serious, when you order the parts (fenders, fascia, and hood) they should come with step-by-step installation instructions. You can order the hood almost anywhere... I am guessing you would have to ask your dealer for the fascia and fenders.

An 85 vette is not a really fast car stock. First year for the L98. cast iron heads, no roller cam. It was only rated at 230hp. 84 vettes were total dogs with only 205hp in a cross fire motor.

With a v8 LT-1(275hp) or LS-1(305hp) bird you would take him stock for stock.

With your V6, he will spank you. If you want to beat him honestly it will cost you nearly as much as it would had cost to buy a V8 car instead of the V6.

Solution: CHEAT!... Nitrous. Put a 50hp or 75hp shot on that V6, you just might surprise him.

Here's some advice on the looks of your car. The body is what it is. Leave it alone, it looks fine in my opinion. Get rid of those ugly rims. They are almost as bad as Z-28 salad shooters. Find some 17" WS-6 rims and swap them out. Set yourself up with a set of Firestone Firehawk tires. The looks and handling will be totally awsome.

Glad to see another proud new f-body fan.

The whole front end if fiberglass, so if you use your "metal pounding skills" (whatever that is) you will have alot of broken front end parts.

P.S. That car is probably already faster than an 85 vette (stock); but so is my 21 speed mountain bike. If you want to go fast, maybe the LT1 would have been a wiser choice to start with.

im not joking hahaha I will take pictures. and I will take pictures of my brothers corvette. But I dunno about my car being able to beat his car stock because he seemed like about 30% faster then my car all around.

Hmmm I wonder if I should just try to fabricate the parts I think that would be really fun, I would just buy the head lights though. I have a metalwork course and I can choose any project and making stuff for my F-body would be fun.

He has a 5 speed manual and well... I have an auto transmission... please don't burn me here, because I already know what you are thinking. hahahahaha Its still good. I mean I only got it for 5000CND which is like what? maybe 2800 american dollars? The worst thing about this car when first bought was the smell but its gone now. And I bought rain away to put on the new windshield. hahaha

well i ain't so lucky today I got a flat. Winter is coming and I live in canada so the winters are brutal. Do you guys think this car should be driven in the snow?

So new Rims and wheels? how bout new brakes while im at it... Man I will take everybodies responses to heart here as I know you guys are experts (as I have been reading alot of these threads)

SO far my list of future mods goes like this.
                      -Full front conversion
-New rims 17 or 18 inch
                      -Flow master exhaust
-new rubber (good winter tires for now)

And. Since I orginally came from the import scene, people had all these hardcore body work on there car. (not really) They had big fat spoilers in there dinky civics and big ground effects like side skirts etc... and they had their underglow lights too. What I want to know is how you F-body muscle guys think of this as I might do it....So far I have found one kit for the firebird and its by Wingswest.

For the most part, we are opposed to all of that stuff...

... but I am still hung up on your post which said you left your old 300ZXTT for a this V6 Firebird because it is "what a sports car should be"... I'll say again... a 300ZXTT will smoke the car you just bought. I'm hoping you can straighten out some of my confusion...

If you want to modify it, my honest opinion is:
-better rims (size is personal preference)
                            -tires
-full exhaust, from headers to cat-back
                            -cold air intake
                            -shift kit
                            -forced induction or nitrous

Doing all of that might be able to get you running with the V8'ers.

Also... there is nothing wrong with an automatic transmission. Modified autos are faster than manuals.

                              A '94 V6 is the 3.4L isn't it? That means he doesn't even have 200 HP, right?

The '85 L98 might have only had 230 HP, but it had to have had significantly more torque. I say this because I am looking at the numbers for the '91 L98... 250 HP, 340 ft-lbs of torque...

Up against a '94 V6 Bird, this is still a slaughter.
