  • ATL Headgasket HELP!!!

    Hi guys,

Anyone here from around the Atlanta Area?
    Or Alpharetta?

Well last night I just found out that I blew a headgasket on my car. :-(

I have called around places and it pretty expensive and I was not planning on dropping any more money into the car since I want to sell it within a year.

So does anyone know of any good places around the A-town where they can do this work at a decent price?

I would really appreciate the help

    Thanks

        Ouch!

Atlanta here...I work for America's Service Station in Norcross. There is one off Old Milton Parkway.

Question 1: Did you over heat the car?
Question 2: How do you know you blew the head gasket?
Question 3: How married are you to this thing?

If you don't plan to spend $1300 in labor...get rid of it. Calls for 17 hours for both sides.

get out a toolbox and replace the gasket. Pull the intake, pull the exhaust manifold, unbolt the head, and put a new gasket down.

it's a simple job, can be done in a few hours. don't be afraid to tear into it.
