  • Do mods cause more internal noise

I have a question? When u go mod crazy how much more noise do the interior of the car sees. As in a earler post in installed a 3.73 gear in the stock rearend and if i did not have subs and amps and that good stuff i would go crazy with the whine from the rear end. Have anyone had problems with the whine getting louder when they give the car the devil at the track or street racing.

Gear whine from a swap can vary widely. I just had mine done and it is really not noticable. A lot depends on what installer and the parts producer you choose. One other thing is that 3.73's can cause a driveshaft vibration that can be a little annoying at certain speeds.

Poly bushings and mounts will also transmit more sound to the cabin.

Take it back to whomever installed them...they should NOT be THAT loud.
