Aluminum Driveshaft
If i change the steel driveshaft to a aluminum will that cause the whine to go away with 3.73 gears.

The DS has nothing to do with the gear whine...sounds like the gears were not properly installed. However if you have a vibration that you can't quite pinpoint and you have checked tire balance and other common vibration inducers...a 1LE driveshaft will most likely be a good idea to get rid of them.

As a matter of fact, aluminum doesn't dampen vibrations as well as steel or iron. An aluminum driveshft could actually make the whine louder.
