  • 96 t/a running bad after warm restart

I'm new here,Hopeing for some help.
96 5.7 auto, stock except for muffler.
after driving for a 1/2 hour or so,shut car down restart 10 minutes later.misfiring bad.snap on scanner shows a p0300 code misfire. But also reading the misfire counter it shows #4 dead.misfiring away,But I can disconnect all 4 inj wires on that side,And it doesn't make a difference.
I'm 3 rd man into this, dealer had it last, this has been done so far
    new spark plugs
    new wires
    new cap and rotor
    new Reman dist
    new ign module
    new fuel inj #4 cyl
New ecm(I found the old one full of water and corossion)
    new oxygen sensors left bank.
I cleaned all the grounds, cleaned the maf, throttle body, cleaned the egr valve, checked fuel psi,and checked regulator for leak, looking for psi drop.
Had it on an osciliscope ign looked good at time of misfire. comp on #4 cyl was 150.
drive car turn off, restart 10 minutes, air pump runs it cycle, than after air pump shuts down about 20 seconds later, she be a misfiring, will continue to misfire untill I drive it kind hard for a 1/2 block then OK and won't return bad untill I shut it off and restart.Could an catalytic conv. cause these problems??any other ideas??really apreciate it.

I have the same problem. Mine straightens up after a few minutes thought. I'm assuming it's an o2 sensor or maybe the coolant sensor on the waterpump.

If you figure your issue out, let us know.
