  • Steering Wheel

Does anyone know if they made a steering wheel for 93-97 Trans Am w/o stereo controls????? I put a different stereo in it and no longer need the buttons on the wheel.

Yes, a whole lot of them. You should have no problem picking one up at the local junkyard. Plus you'll get it el cheapo since you don't need the airbag.

Or you could get a SWI-X controller ($60) and use the steering wheel on the new system.

Well, when it still had the stock stereo, sometimes the buttons would work and sometimes they wouldn't. So I will probably go get one that did have them to begin with. Why won't I need the airbag????

What I meant was that you already have an airbag, so you can just buy the steering wheel itself. That part is cheap, whereas the airbag probably costs around $500. You only need the actual steering wheel "rim" so to speak, so you can probably score it for $10-$20.
