how difficult is it to even change the spark plugs on a 93 firebird v6 i know for most cars its very simple but on the firebirdy the engine is pushed back so far it looks pretty hard to reach them. I havent jumped in and tried yet still for some nice weather. Thanks

the 3.4 is a 60 degree engine...a lot easier than the 90 degree 3.8, LT1, LS1...shouldn't be too hard, probably be able to get all of em from the top. Had a 3.1 that only took 30-40 minutes to swtich em out...wires and all.

Feel free to argue, but last I checked electricity takes the path of least resistance. Just because the ground strap has two prongs (on the splitfire) doesnt mean your gonna get two sparks. Its rediculous. I agree - waste of $$$$. Regular AC delco or NGK's.

i agree with you N20LT4Bird , at first i thought it was an advantage of a double spark, but on their website they dont even mention an advantage of double spark they were mentioning somthing about it having less travel for the flame to go through between the two (half width) prongs rather then getting arround the wider single prong

becaus eit actualy looks just like a single width prong split in two

Exactly what they did.... found the cheapest outsourced plugs they could find, put them in a fixture and split the ground strap in two.... looks like they did it with a cheap pair of diagonal pliers.

I had very poor experience with the stock AC/Delco platinum tipped plugs. After 30K miles, at least 1/2 of them had lost either one (0.075" gap) or two (0.100" gap) platinum pucks. Replaced them with the same stock plugs, and same thing happened in another 30K miles.

I've had excellent results with NGK's on my bolt-on/nitrous motor, and run both AutoLite and Champions in the stroker/nitrous motor.

                          NGK

I have used NGK for about 5 years now and in 3 different f-bodys. (88 iroc, 91 z and now my 99 WS6) I have never once had a problem with them. I use the NGK V-powers.
