  • Car starts, but won't stay running

I know it isn't an f-body, but those other forums are useless, plus I trust my F-body brothers and sisters. In addition to my wonderful 94 Z28, I have a 99 Grand Am SE 3100 V6 with 145K. When the engine is cold or has sat for a few hours or even minutes it will start, run perfect for about one to two minutes, then start sputtering, idling very erratically, and dies. When you try to restart it, sometimes it will for a few seconds, sometimes it won't. Ultimately the car will not stay running. I have no SES lights, and no security lights. I just replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump. I have spark, I have fuel, and I can't find any blown fuses. Anybody seen this before? What was your problem? Thanks for any help guys and gals.

Got it guys. It was the control module for the ignition. Got a hold of someone who had an extra one, tried it, and it worked.
