I have the marker G11 327 on the front driverside of my block.
Thats just telling me the code for what displacement it is, 94-95 LT1 roller cam etc.
    whats the G11 for?

Thanks, i've never needed to do this until now.

    pacesetter longtubes
T56 with a 6 puck ceramic copper heavy duty clutch
    Built T56, 3.5" 4130 driveshaft w/spicer HD's
    K&N RAM air from 96 ws6
    96? ws6 hood
    96? ws6 spoiler

"327" is not the displacement. You have a 350 cubic inch engine. "327" is the last three numbers of the GM casting number for the LT1 block (10125327). I suspect that G11 is a date code (year:month).

      well o'course its not a 327ci!
      That'd be a bit weird.
I'm looking up the date codes and full indentification on the block IF i can, but since it was a crate motor non refurbished, theres no vin or info aside that G11 (and the nickel content under the timing cover) on the thing.
I guess thats just what you have to deal with for buying from a private seller.
