  • Cruise control fail

I've converted the exterior and interior lights to LED's

    since then, cruise doesn't work.

I know why, but how to fix it im not too certain with.

It should be because of the low load of the center brake light, but how do I really add enough load to it?
In reference to shbox.com, this is what I see needs to be done http://shbox.com/1/relay_for_ss_spoiler.jpg

    But,
    What type of relay?
Why a relay and not anything else such as a resistor?
    Is there any other option

I'm thinking, could I put the cruise brake indicator circuit on something else if I did so carefully....

Anyone who has done this fix?

    Results? Comments? Ideas?
    -Alex
1995 LT1 ECU (GREAT for flashing!)
    ZO6 wheels (clones)
    LED exterior and interior lighting
    With questionable guts:
    Forged bottom end
    free flowing 3 1/2" exhaust w/
    pacesetter longtubes
T56 with a 6 puck ceramic copper heavy duty clutch
    Built T56, 3.5" 4130 driveshaft w/spicer HD's
    K&N RAM air from 96 ws6
    96? ws6 hood
    96? ws6 spoiler
    full emissions delete
polished heads with oversize valve job
    Edelbrock IAS shocks
Full tubular Chassis minus k member
Daily Driver and love it that way
Motor is not what you'd think.

I used a leftover A/C relay to do the fix. It works perfectly. A resistor cannot handle the load, just use a relay.

      Aye,
where did you hook it up?

      under dash, inside spoiler,
then again this is on my TA not Camaro so things might be little different.

I tucked it into the inside panel of the rear hatch.

          OK, thanks,

I'll give that a shot today, and maybe try to take it out,
the 4 inches of ice we have is finnaly melting, actually going to be 60 out tomorrow, very odd for December in Chigago
