  • Brake Grinding?

I've been noticing this noise... or actually i think I can feel it too.... when I go in REVERSE and apply the brake, even from slow speeds like parking lot backing up, it feels like something is grinding. I think it is coming from the front. It does not happen (or at least i cant feel it!) when i brake normally in drive.

Do you think this is brake rotors? (its got 4 wheel discs) The brakes have about 45k miles but i've been told by the tire place that there is enough brake pad on all fours yet and there is no squealing. However, the rotors could use a turning though as it does pulsate. But would warped rotors cause a grinding in reverse?

I would put on new brake pads first. My right rear did this same thing and it looked like there was enough pad left but there wasn't much there so I just opted to change them anyways and it cleared the problem right up.
