  • Old school stroker in an lt1?

Like I said in a previous post, I'm relatively new to the late model Chevy game. However, me and my dad had a Chevelle that we intended to put a 383 in. Funds ran out, and we were forced to sell the car. However, we still have the engine. Would the internals fit into an Lt1 block? It's not a pressing issue, as I'm sure it takes a good bit of money to build, but I would just like to know so we don't sell them later on. Thanks!

Check Project 383 from AmericanZ28. We just recently finished our 383 build. Chances are some standard SBC parts would not fit but Im sure someone will be willing to help out if you get specs on what you have in that engine.

Crank has to be the later SBC "one-piece" rear main seal design to work with the LT1 block. Rods and pistons are interchangeable. Water pump, timing cover are not interchangeable.
