Are the three O2 sensors the same on the 5.7 l engine? Ay Oreillys they said there are only two, but I know there are three one after each exhaust manifold and one after the cAt. Are all three identical?

I will be installing new Magnaflow direct fit repalcement cats tomorrow, and have decided to just replace all three 02 sensors, but don't want to screw it up. Thanks.

No, they are not identical. The pre-cat sensors are the same.

Also, unless I'm just not reading you correctly, you have 4 sensors, not three. You said it yourself: one after each manifold, and one after EACH Cat. You have two cats., not one, so you have 4 sensors.

And like Shoebox said, there are two types of sensors: square connectors and flat connectors (pre cat and post cat).

all installed, and working great no SES lights after 175 miles! biggest problem was 4 broken manifold studs outof six, but GM dealer came through with the studs!!

Biggest headache was that Magnaflow did not include teh gaskets between the manifold and the Cat pipes-two of teh strangest looking gaskets I have ever seen. Had to break to get the gaskets, but again GM came through.

and this was the fiorst major repair I have had beside repalcing teh pinion gear about 60,000 miles ago. Still on the original clutch, and the original brake rotors--guess teh'll go at some point too.

But beyond that, ready for another 136,000 miles!!!!!
