  • Polishing out scratches in glass

Anyone ever do this with the special kit? The glass on the Camaro I picked up has scratches on the windshield and rear hatch glass. I've never used the stuff to know whether it works well or not. Anyone?

    hmmm

I've used some stuff, from some company
that always used to send me magazines.

I didn't use it for scratches - but
used it for hard water stains on the
    glass. Worked like a champ.
(Wasn't safe for ttops, scratched some).

I'm not sure if it will fix the wipe scratches
that I'm imaging your trying to remove.

The best bet is to replace the windshield.

Check The Eastwood Company. The latest version of their catalog has three different packages for "polishing" glass, ranging from mild scratches/water-spots to deeper scratches. I haven't used their kits, but I have seen magazine articles that indicated they worked - of course it may have just been a case of promoting an advertiser's product .
