Has anyone used lucas, amsoil, redline or other gear oils or addivities to quiet a noisey differential tempory? If so what work?

What year ZR-1 you got? My brother's got a '91 ran a 12.87 @ 109 MPH stock at Great Lakes Dragway couple years ago. It's still stock except for a K&N air filter.
