Is it normal to hear a slight bit of more noise from the rear end after installing the aluminum driveshaft? I saw this is supposed to be normal in the TSB, so I was wondering if any of you have experienced this slight bit of high pitch whine-whistle? Thanks for any advice.

Aluminum driveshafts don't dampen noise as well as a steel shaft. Any noise your differential makes will be transmitted through the shaft. When my pinion bearing was starting to go, it sounded like it was the tranny because the shaft transmitted the noise right up to the front. So, in fewer words..... yep.

OK, thanks Joe. I do notice that the noise only starts at 50+ mph, if that makes any difference. A little annoying, but I'd rather have that sound * 10, instead of the annoying steel driveshaft vibration.94 Black T/A GT, Advanced Induction 355, 3200 stall, built 4L60E, Moser 9", Baer Brakes, Shooting for 11s...
