Speaker replacement

I put a highpowered deck in my car and the stock speakers cannot handle it. I was wondering if anybody has replaced the speaker/tweeter on the rear quarter pannel trim with 6x9's? If so did they fit well? I assume I probably need to re-wire them back to the deck as well.
