  • Standard 15" Wheels to Iroc 16" Wheels

I'm thinking of upgrading my standard 15" wheels on my 88 Camaro to some Iroc wheels. My question is, will these just fit in? I have drums in the rear so I'm not sure if IROC were disc all around? I appreciate any help. Thanks!

I thought Iroc was the same as a z28 with some stickers... not 100% sure though.

The wheels will bolt up with no problems at all. But like Trashman said. The 16" wheels that came on the 91-92 cars had different fitments for the front. If you buy a set of four. Just make sure the person is selling you (2) front and (2) rear or they will not fit.

If you have any more questions about your car. Go to www.thirdgen.org

There is SO much more information about 82-92 camaros & firebird there. Litteraly EVERYTHING you would want to know you can find on that site.

This site, as good as it is, is definitely geared toward the 1993 and newer cars.

One more question. Does it matter that my rear wheels are DRUM?

there was like a 1/16th shim or whatever that went between the drum and the wheel on my old 88 trans am(16" crosslace wheel) came on the car when i got them, had GM stamped on them but when i took it off, to put a set of 91 Z28 wheels on for the track, i forgot to put it back on, didnt seem to make a difference?

That's good to hear. My 88 just got a new paint job and the standard 15" gray wheels just look to plain. Of course I need to shop for tires now. Thanks again!
