    ok............. catted or uncatted ypipe. why or why not?

    i can get a catted y with high flow cats for 150 shipped or a uncatted y for 125 shipped.

    as fred has stated many times before, there is no real power gain in not having a cat, get the catted one plus catted ones have a better tone IMHO

      Cat.

      Cats cut down the smell, reduce emissions and some higher pitch sound level. The very small flow restriction really isn't an issue on a street car. Plus.... it's legal.

        i have no cats and my car stinks. I hate it and will be putting a cat on in the very near future.

          Yes.. do not worry about power loss with high flow cats. Specially for only $25 more. That seems like an exceptional bargain. I think my 3" CarSound cats were around $125-150 each, when Mufflex built my custom Y-pipe.

            he says y-pipe was custom made by mufflex at their shop and used carsound hi flow cats
