Cats cut down the smell, reduce emissions and some higher pitch sound level. The very small flow restriction really isn't an issue on a street car. Plus.... it's legal.

i have no cats and my car stinks. Yes.. do not worry about power loss with high flow cats. Specially for only $25 more. That seems like an exceptional bargain. I think my 3" CarSound cats were around $125-150 each, when Mufflex built my custom Y-pipe.Fred
