Rim Care

I cant remember the name of the product or which show I saw it on but one the the speed vision shows had a segment on rim care and polishing rims .Here is a hint they used a paste/clay like product and a dremel .
I dont use my rims year round but they are starting to develope what looks like pits . I want to polish and protect the rims from further pitting . On my 79 TA I had Cragars and because I didnt take care of them I had to trash them . I dont want this to happen again.
Does anyone remember the show or have a suggestion on which products I should use to clean and protect them from further damage.

well, most rims on 4th gen f bodies are clear coated. if you polish them with a dremel and paste...then you will end up worse off than not doing it at all. protection from the beginning is the key... i polish our rims with zaino show car polish z5. it keeps the brake dust down and it wipes right off... wont penetrate. thats what causes the pitting to start.

independent truckers use zaino also on their big $$ rims. its works real good.
