non traction control car's brakes are 3 channel, two sensors for antilock located in the two front wheel hubs. The rear sensor is located on top of the differential and the rears are controlled as a pair locked together. Traction control cars use 4 channel antilock, the rears get a sensor at each wheel instead of the single one in the channel. Traction control is tapped into the 4 channel system and when wheelspin is detected, it backs off the throttle to regain control. It's a pain to swap from one system to the other. look for 96+ non traction control, the rear hubs are already undersized so other f-body and corvette wheels will fit without modification.

ABS (3-channel) activates when the system senses the brakes are about to lock the wheels up on a hard stop. The ABS motor assembly reduces pressure to the wheel(s) that are about to lock up. That's the entire system - anti-lock brakes only. All 4th Gens have this system.

Traction control + ABS (4-channel) adds a system that prevents the rear wheels from slipping during hard accelaration. The system uses a combination of throttle control and spark control to cut engine power when the rear wheel(s) start to slip. This system combines ABS and TCS (called "ASR" on the Camaro). This system was an option beginning in 1995 model year, and carries RPO code NW9.

i just thought the 4 sensor abs system would be better because of a sensor for each rear wheel, more accurate when a wheel locks up.
oh , found out the tcs and abs didnt work on the formula because of the ignition swich , and had it working for a while . noticed it kicking in when shifting 3rd sometimes

considering mine is a 1994 and i do not have the traction control, it dosen't make sense to buy 1 in my case. i will keep looking. thaks everyone!
