Messing with nature for monetary gain is pretty darn sick if you ask me.

        Why...

Why do people like to hunt or kill wolves and other animals...

And isn't the wolves protected like eagles and tigers...

I wanted to keep this on top of the list because to me and a lot of people this is an important topic...
        Thanks

Sorry f-buds, but since it's semi related, I gotta ask. Not to take away from the real topic, but..... what does everyone think about the Bear Hunt in NJ? It hits a little too close to home for me, because they release most of the captured Bears a few miles from my house. 35mins from the city, 1hr from the Jersey shore, and I get 300lb Bears wallking past the Formula, which didn't happen a few years ago. Scared to walk alone after dark.

Not trying to start anything at all here so noone get mad. I'll start by saying I don't know all the facts at all about this so I'm not gonna try to sound like an expert on this either. From my understanding wolves are not shot from the air anyone whos ever shot a gun knows that it would be next to imposible to hit a wolf from the air while moving. The law is in place to protect animals in big heards such as caribou or the mountain goats that stand out from the air from being spotted for eaiser stalking. A wolf would not only be harder to spot from a plane but it is not the kind of animal that you could land and expect it to just be there when you tried stalking it. I am a hunter but I have always been ethical and do not think that an unfair advantage should be taken I would just like to point out that the main reason for the bill being passed is probably that someone who pays a large amount of money to hunt in Alaska doesn't want to have waste a day of hunting because they flew in a plane. Just remeber that some people have just as much passion for hunting as some people do for their f-bodies. I'm not trying to start anything so please don't take this the wrong way, it was just way too one sided and the site made it sound much worse than it probably is.

you are either misinformed.....or just mistaken altogether......

the wolves are hunted and SHOT from aircraft. they can be spotted easlily. especially in the snow. and they cant run fast. and these guys can hit them. easily. they dont stay put if you land a plane. they are afraid of people. its needless slaughter of this once endangered species for the sole purpose of thinking it will make the herds bigger. and like i said..the wolves kill the lame..the slower weaker animals. thats not what the hunters go after. are you telling me its ok to kill innocent wolves just so someone with "a passion" for hunting can get to kill an animal easier! like he's gonna starve to death if he does not kill an elk, right? hunting is a sport. and yes its a right. but another species of animal should not have to be slaughtered just to make "it easier for the hunter to shoot his prey". wolves have just as much right to live as any other of God's creatures. hunting is just that. hunting. so you dont get something the first time out. thats the gamble.

and its bad. this is not blown out of porportion. its a serious situation thats being fought by many wildlife conservation organizations and thousands of people who care about the needless killing of animals.

I didn't know that there shot from the plane. I'll agree that hunting them like that is wrong. I'll admit I've never hunted animals for the soul purpose of meat I hunt for the thrill of the hunt but the meat is the added bonus to it, but I also believe in ethical hunting and not taking unfair advantages over the game. Shooting an animal from the air is definetly not an ethical practice and I've signed the petition.

i dont know why they would do that to begin with, its wrong to mess with nature any way. but in doing that it would decrease the challenge of the hunt wouldnt it ? its just wrong regardless, i dont hunt much i have this year a few times with my uncles and for me 90% of the fun is enjoying the surroundings. man shouldnt mess with nature its too beautifu.
