  • 69 Z28 emblems for my 96?

I was thinking it might be cool to replace the Z28 emblems on the front fenders with some repro 69 Z28 emblems. Maybe even do the back as well. Like the pic below. Just a couple questions though. How are the normal ones attatched? My guess it they are glued/double back taped on and would require heating with a hairdryer or something to get off. Do the 69s have studs or something that would require gringing off(I'm not drilling holes in my Z)? Also could I use a thin high strength double back tape to put the repros on? Oh yeah one last thing would there be any marks from the old emblems? My paint is in pretty decent shape and not really faded I don't think. I was just thinking this would be a cool way to set my Z apart a little from the rest for not much money and was trying to figure what would be involved. Any help, advice, pics, etc from the F-Bod Gurus would be greatly apreciated. Thanks in advance...........Later

Yeah I think it looks cool too. The emblems have 2 studs on them but you can grind them off. One of the studs had broken off mine and when my car was painted, the guy used windshield adhesive to put it back on (heavy duty caulk). It has held for 10 yrs and counting.

Here is another guy who did it
