  • 3.4 timing cover gasket ?

    Do the

    oil pan,
    torque converter (AT) splash shield,
    starter &
    Y exhaust pipe

need to be removed to replace the timing cover gasket on the 3.4L V6?

well.... yes. you have to pull the Y pipe to get the splash shield and starter out of the way so that you can pull the oil pan...... that way the timing cover comes out and you can replace the gasket. Sounds worse than it is.
