I am running a '93 Z28 computer and harness, but just replaced the long block with a 96 LT1. The '93 had been working fine with no CEL. I replaced the long block and used the '96 optispark and the distributor harness. I am now getting a consistent error code of 43. Do you think there is any connection, or should I just put my original knock sensor in to see if that helps? There is a little valve train noise in this motor.

Put the '93 knock sensor in the '96 block. The sensors have a different resistance. I swapped the 93 knock sensor and the CEL went away. Problem solved.
