  • Warning about fake Walbro fuel pumps

    The chinese are selling copies of Walbro pumps, be careful what you buy.

    http://www.fuel-pumps.net/walbro-forgeries.html

    How to spot a fake walbro:
    When you pull the endcap of the pump where the filter goes, inside you will either see metal gears, or some plastic inside.
    Metal gearing= GENUINE
    Plastic=FAKE.
    Ask the company if it has plastic or metal gears (send it back if its plastic).

    Well that really sucks...
    I bought my Walbro from summit about a year ago....

    Do you know of any vendors that are specifically affected?
