I just found a pretty good deal for a 12 bolt on craigslist but it is a 3 channel unit and i kind of wanted to keep my traction control. Is it possible to convert a 3 channel housing to 4 channel system or are the cases and axles different between them?

I doubt you will be able to make those modifications easily if at all, unless there's a kit :/. What do you need the traction control for still? I love not having it, less sh.t to break.-Alex

Who's 12-bolt is it - Strange or Moser? Contact the manufacturer, and see if you can swap out the brake backing plates, with the 4-channel sensors.Fred
