  • strange creaking?

    Hey guys,
The TA has been out for a while now, scaled and programmer a new MAF from an LS (newer 85mm screened), I started getting a really weird oscillating creak coming from the front end on a stop. Never happened before, I did wash the car yesterday but nothing more. Checked the wheel bearings, which have about 3-4k on them, brakes look great, tie rod ends are tight, really everything looks good. Only happens under about at least 50% pedal on braking, seems to only come from the pass side. Time to do new computers, ball joints? Sounds like a very fast slip catch almost like badly glazed rotors.
    Thanks in advance,
    -Alex

Push up and down on the fron without the car moving, that will isolate any rotating parts.

I did do that, first suspect is some end link noise, I probably need new sway bar bushings since they are original and pretty compressed by now. Given, I couldn't put as much force on the front end as actual deceleration weight shift, and there's no noise on turns. someone speculated that I might have gotten some soapy water in a front suspension joint, but I'm pretty sure that isn't the case.

The noise/sensation seems to have gone away completely on it's own, I inspected everything just to be sure along with topping off everything win a grease fitting.
