  • Spark Timing(?) problems while warming up

    Hey guys,
I have been having some trouble with my motor falling on it's face at low rpm moderate load when it's warming up(stops after about 120-130 deg F). Everything mechanical is in working order, could be something I botched on a tune, but I re wrote my BIN just to be sure, still there. It started doing this before, replaced/calibrated a new tps, problem stopped for a while. Started back up the other day, tps is fine, did a visual and data log. I'm stumped because it's only just before closed loop kicks in.

Any ideas? I've tried quite a bit with no success.

1995 LT1 ECU (GREAT for flashing!)
    ZO6 wheels (clones)
    LED exterior and interior lighting
    With questionable guts:
    Forged bottom end
    free flowing 3 1/2" exhaust w/
    pacesetter longtubes
T56 with a 6 puck ceramic copper heavy duty clutch
    Built T56, 3.5" 4130 driveshaft w/spicer HD's
    K&N RAM air from 96 ws6
    96? ws6 hood
    96? ws6 spoiler
    full emissions delete
polished heads with oversize valve job
    Edelbrock IAS shocks
Full tubular Chassis minus k member
Daily Driver and love it that way
Motor is not what you'd think.

Sounds like a possible lean condition. Can you observe the blms and or A/F ratio while this is happening?

Unfortunately, I don't have a means to log while driving( my laptop is in pieces zip tied to some cork board ) i have the programming set to run fairly rich to operating temp, so it shouldn't be leaning out. I will take a look best I can, maybe my neighbor will let me borrow his wideband.

I have not seen any other indication of a lean condition, the fuel system and injectors are functioning normally.

Problem seems to have been solved with a new CTS, tested ok at room temp, was off by +20 degrees at about 140 degrees and got worse from there up.

It's a never ending cycle of replacing old solenoids and sensors from 1995
