  • 97 3.8 a4 baby camaro oil in coolant?

the baby camaro has had this for a while, seems like a little oil gets in the coolant, when I take the radiator cap off theres some brown stuff like oil and rust, not a lot but if I clean it, it seems to come back after a while. coolant underneath is clean and still green, also the oil is clean. I have read about some issue with the intake manifold, was hoping someone on here knows what can cause this. The car only has around 100000 kms, thats like 60k miles.

Oh and a couple days ago I changed the steering rack, i put one from a 93 t/a with a quicker ratio. Very pleased with the results and I recomend it to anyone with a v6 car, easy to change too. I like to let the rear end slide every now and then and its a lot easier to steer now, and looks cooler as I dont have to turn the steering wheel so quickly and so much, just flick it now lol. It needs an allignment now and I noticed it doesnt turn the wheels back to straight ahead by itself now, maybe the allignment will sort this if not the preload bearing?
next should be a limited slip diff if I can find one, and disc brakes.

I've seen a partially blown head gasket allow oil to contaminate the cooling system.

Castor has a role in forcing the car to center itself after the wheel is released after a turn.
