hello all, this is my first post to this forum.
i just bought a '69 camaro X-44 standard coupe for a project i'm gonna do with my son. it needs a lot of unibody work. frame rails, floorboards.... a lot of these parts came with the car.
i've got a couple of questions for anyone who's re-done a '69:
1.) i've got a set of clean original frame rails, but i don't know if i should go stock or upgrade to a newer setup(it's not a numbers-matching car anyway). anyone know a better way?
2.)i can't find any info on the '69 unibody assembly, dimensions, methods anywhere. anyone know a source?
i'm no stranger to rebuilding as i have done a frame up rebuild of my '88 HD FXR stroker. i've also been using torches for the last 25 years, so learning to mig should be easy.
TIA,
Joe
