I have a 97 chevy silverado with the Vortec 305. I have a k&n filter and a flowmaster dumped. When I hit the gas the rpm's rise but the truck goes nowhere. Any suggestions??

Did I mention the 150 shot I had on it!!! just kiddin!!! Oooh, now that's an idea. Under normal driving conditions, there is no problem except for when I'm on the highway, every once and a while it feels like the tranny skips. I have to agree with norman. my old camaro had the same problem and it was the fluid level.

Sorry I didn't mention this earlier, but the first thing I did was change the fluid and change the filter, no apparent problems there. So I will have the converter checked out.
