NO HEAT

on my car i also have no heat....like nothing you press buttons and the lights light up and there is nothing you dont hear anything come on a mechanic told me that if it was the motor while your driving you would still get air blowin in from the vents.....and i get it slightly but i just think its the heat from the engine...but not significant at all.....to make me think its the fan motor i do see that i have a heater hose that goes from the radiator to the firewall behind the distributor...and i just changed the thermostat....but theres nothing i dont even know where to begin on this also the haynes manual says nada.....and pepboys told me 66 dollars just to see whats wrong to run a test or whatnot....any ideas...

I would start by checking the fuse and replacing the relay.

Then, if that doesnt work check for voltage at the fan with a meter. If there is voltage, but the fan does not run, replace the fan. If there is no voltage see if you can hotwire the fan to make sure it is OK, then test backwards through the harness from there.
