Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to replace the waterpump to the 1997 Z?
I already had it replaced by the dealer at 28K, now at 55, 000 it went again. any suggestions?

While it's not unusual for a water pump to go out, less than 30k miles is ridiculous!! Mine had a small leak at around 88,000.

The dealership has a lifetime guarantee on most of their parts and if they do the repair, it covers labor too. I had an OPTI replaced under warrantee this summer. See if they will cover it first.

i just did mine and it wasnt too ridiculous I guess?
Be prepared to take alot of crap out of the way first
and while you are in there remove the opti and open it up and see how nasty it is since the water runs right down the side of it
