Hi all - It's been a while since I logged in and posted. I sold my Formula and upgraded to a 2005 GTO quite a while ago that I still have. We do still have the wife's 2002 Firebird with the 3800. I've done all the normal stuff to it but I smelled coolant when she broght it home yesterday. Sure enough there is coolant on top of the engine on the by the lower intake manifold bolts. I am clening it off now and will pressure test. Luckily there doesn't appear to be any coolant in the oil.
The wife still enjoys the car and it only has around 110k on it. It sits a lot as she works from home and has an AWD for the NY winters.
I searched and didn't locate anything on the 3800 intake manifold gasket replacement. I may have missed it. I'm getting up there in age and I don't know if I want to take that on in the Garage being in my mid 60's. How bad of a job is it? Thanks in advance
