Anybody troubleshot the headlight motor/module on a Firebird..?

lookin' for a shortcut..
headlight opens fine...but the gearbox grinds once it gets all the
way closed...
is it a module or a motor/gear box assy problem..
the print says it's supposed to sense coast once closed..
so it almost seems like it isn't..
anybosy been here before..?

What you have is a stripped gear.....the fix is in the thread.
