  • BMR racing products, and LS-1 spindles

ive been looking for a good suspension system for a little while now, and i think BMR is going to fill all of my needs. over the course of the winter i am going to buy most every thing they sell for our cars. my question is sort of involved. i want to get their upper and lower front control arms, some new struts, and new springs. i alos want to run the Z06 brake conversion. can i use/is there any bennifit to using LS-1 spindles? instead of the LT-1 ones? is there any differance?

    thanks
    Jeff

If you are gonna go with the C5 upgrade, you have to do cutting to both the LT1 and LS1 spindles, mind you more cutting on the LT1's but there is no benefit in spending the $$$ for LS1 versions.

I am going to caution you about using heim joints on the front end. While great for racing due to zero deflection and ultimate control, a considerable amount of vibration and noise is transmitted to the subframe. On a street driven car, it will severely increase noise and decrease ride quality. Not to mention that you'll be changing out the joints often.

that is definately something to considder since i will be driving this on the street. however it will not be my daily driver. i have a few calls in to bmr and a few friends in the industry right now, and i am trying to figure out how race oriented i need to be to meet my goal of 1.1 G on the skid pad
