I saw a Cavi all hooked up once...
to be painted...had the kit, double vision hood(well whatever the J-Body version is called) big ass wing, rims, and some neons....it was an automatic. And it had one of those coffee can, weedwacker mufflers on it. So I parked my camaro next to it and went into his place of employment just to make him feel stupid. You have to understand I live in a town with an abundance of ricers. Actually I think surrounding states deport the ricers that couldn't hack it into my town. And I get so fed up with 87 civics, and newer base model 4-banging imports revving their lawnmower exhaust at me. I'm sure i'm not the only one with this problem. When I went in it was some 17 years old's car.
Me: "So thats your cavalier?"
Kid: "Yea"
Me: "Its nice what color u painting it?"
Kid: "Prolly like a metallic blue or something."
Me: "I like the hood scoops. Whats that wing for? Its a FWD car right?"
Kid: "Yea"
Me: "What kind of engine mods did you do to it. Is that functional Ram Air?"
Kid: "um.............no. I haven't done any."
Me: "So Its just appearance mods?"
Kid: (now feeling stupid) "yea."
Me: "What possessed you to do that to a cavalier?"
Kid: (now annoyed) "!"
Me: "I aint trying to harass you...but for the money you paid for all that and ur future paint job, you could have easily bought a fast car, or a decent v6 and still done some mods to it. When u start with a car that looks nice and has good power...you dont have to do all the cosmetic surgery you had to do to a cavalier."
Kid: (blank stare on his face)
I then walked away figuring my job was done and I didn't feel like being any more of a di*k than I already was.

My buddy is more of a talker than a doer. I'll talk him out of it though. He wants to sell when his finance is done and he owns it. Then he'll get a truck.
