    as you all probaly know by now, Saddam got caught on saturday.
    i just wanted to see what you all think. Can they give him the death penalty? or do you guys think they should throw him in prison?
    what would you guys do ?

    For me, the fact that they caught him is more important than anything else. That and any information he has. I could give a flying you-know-what about what they do with him now.

      He has lied for over 30 years, how can you trust anything that comes out of his mouth to be true.

      As for the death penalty, take as long as they want to wring anything out of him that they can and turn him over to me for the death penalty. The only person in history that I can think of that more deserved the death penalty is Hitler. Saddam was just Hitler light.

        I think I agree w Jeff. Why even have the death penalty if we can't give it to someone who is responsible fo the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people? The man is pure evil. I think they should get all the information they can out of him, put him in prison for a few years to give him time to look foreward to it, then get a good strong rope and find a nice tall tree....

          The people of Iraq need some time to confront him for his deeds as an anti-christ and get some closure.

          Then after that, they need to see him dead, to get complete release from any fear of him.

          I would like to see other members of the Baath party rounded up and imprisoned, but that is all up the Iraqis.

          What many people do not understand is that American liberty and freedom cannot exist in Iraq. The people there want a religously based government, in fact they insist on it. Religous law will take hold, and the freedoms we enjoy here will not exist there. Granted, it will be better than before, we will still see women repressed and children forced to continue the same traditions. Change there will not happen any time soon.

          What they really need is a major reformer in their religion. I see a bloody future for Islam. They NEED reform, with their current beliefs, they have a very hard time participating with the rest of the civilized world. They hold themselves isolated and backward. Then they get jelouse and angry at the freedoms we have here.

          trouble..... and it is not going away.
