i take it you didnt get the car new? is the owners manual still there? the radio will stay on for 10 min.....and the power window will work for 10 min...after the key is turned off.....or untill you open the door. from 94 up till the end.

        It's because of "RAP".

No, not the kind you listen to..... Retained Accessory Power module is the device that provides the features described in the two posts above.

My '94 Formula doesn't do that. Is it because I don't have power windows or any other accessories?

Ya, I still have the manual I was just to lazy to go out and check it. It would be nice if that feature worked for headlights
I still dont understand why they dont make it so headlights wont work unless the keys in the ignition. That would save alot of headaches.

Headlights, like hazard light are a safety critical way to be seen and communicate with other folks. Police officers or other concerned individuals may need to turn on lights to prevent an accident, or even a death. If the light would not turn on due to the keys being gone.... you get the picture.

If the lights only worked with the key in the ignition, we would have a lot of problems with stalled cars getting rammed into.

                    See the issue here?

Check the link and click on the appropriate manual. It should have instructions in there....

You only have Retained Accessory Power if you have power door locks. Page 52 of your owner's manual.

Nope, no power door locks. Oh well. I'll just have to be happy with a lighter car.
