  • diff. fluid replacement

I just got 3.73 gears put in my m6 lt-1 about 430 miles ago. I know that after 500 miles the fluid in the differrential has to be changed. The shop were i got it fixed wants to charge me 50 bucks to do it. I was wondering if I could get some advice from you guys on how to do this so that i can do it myself and save money.

Sure just take off all 10 bolts that hold the cover on. Drain fluid. Make sure you have new diff. fluid and a new gasket. Take off all the old gasket material on the cover and diff. hosuing. After drain put cover back on and fill through the plug on the right top side of the diff. housing. I think it takes a 3/8" allen wrench to fit. Fill until fluid drips out. Some say not to fill too much to the top of the plug but I don't know how you could do it any other way.
