A few questions on Superchargers for Stock LS1 Trans Ams.

#1 Do I need to make any kind of modification for my mostly stock TA if I decide on a supercharger?

#2 What are the better or prefered Superchargers on the market for LS1 engines?

#3 Who gives the best prices for Superchargers?

    Thanks Guys for the advice.

ATI ProCharger and Vortech are the leading suppliers. Sponsors like T. Byrne Motorsports offer very good deals, and sometimes sponsor "group purchases" with further discounts.

For good background info on S/C'ing an LS1, there is a little info in this book:

"Chevy LS1/LS6 Performance" by Chris Endres

Like anything that adds substantial power, you need to upgrade the fuel system, go to a non-platinum spark plug, possible upgrade the ignition system (although the stock LS1 8-coil system can handle a lot of power) and possible PCM reprogramming, depending on how the S/C system handles the extra fuel delivery and timing retard.

And once you've got the big power increase, you need to have the suspension and chassis upgrades to get it effectively to the ground. And possible trans upgrades if you have an A4, or clutch upgrade on an M6.
