Christmas Bummer in Iraq
Hey guys,
Just wanted to let everyone know that I personally think and perceive the forces here in Iraq making progress. A lot of good and positive progress. The day before Christmas Eve though and today, the day after, Iraqi insurgents held to their word and really stepped up attacks here near Balad. I had at least 6 KIA come through. Resulting from either a thrown Grenade or Improvised Explosive Devices. Today we had harrassing fire near our side of the perimeter with small arms fire. Kind of a bummer past few days. I go back to my tent and read GM High Tech Performance and then try to fall asleep on my cot thinking about cruising in my ride. For those of you in Iraq or coming over, try to avoid convoys the next few days if you can. I know the answer though, "Then that means one of my friends will have to go and I won't let that happen". I'm just saying be careful out here. As for my friends in the forum, thanks for the support. It means a lot to me out here.
