  • 35mm front sway bar?

    I got this from a 1LE site:

2001 SLP brings back the 1LE option on the Camaro SS and Firehawk. It includes Koni double adjustable front and rear shocks. Front upper and lower control arms are tightened up with stiffer rubber bushings. Hollow 35mm front sway bar significantly reduces body roll. Includes revised end links, reinforced body mount brackets and firmer bushings. Rear lower control arms with firmer bushings reduce wheel hop under heavy acceleration. Larger 21mm rear sway bar and bushings decrease body roll. Also includes Koni shock adjustment tool. Click here for 2001 specific information. Official production numbers are pending, but SLP has leaked that 11% of 2001 Firehawk's were built with 1LE.

I didn't realize there was a 35mm front sway bar. Anyone have one of these? If so, what can you say about it's performance?

Well Joe, I installed the kit a few months

..ago, Dallas Slabaugh was so kindly to counseling me with this information with part numbers, below. But the control arms, panhard bar are from Spohn, the endlinks & bushings are polyurethane, the shocks are Bilstein..the rest was purchased frrom him like this info state...

Now,JeffY from SLP told me the better combo is 35 mm front and solid 1" rear..but is a pricey combo, and you'll need a different springs calibration too...more $$ to add.
I am truly and really pleased with the result, the road curves here in Mexico are not well traced but my bird take them to 90-100 miles without hessitation with accuracy & safety.
I admire what you did.. your Santa costume was a priceless gift for your son
    Happy New Year man !!
